Focus in the Fog Have you ever been completely lost in the fog? On an extremely foggy morning I was making my way to work. The fog was so thick that there was no clear view of what was ahead. All of a sudden, I saw the reflectors of a semi that was crossing the road in front of me. What a frightening experience! As I made my way I was praying for safe travel and the Lord spoke to me and said, “Just keep your eyes on the white line—don’t look into the fog—keep your eyes on the white line”. As I drove it became obvious to me that the Lord was speaking to my heart about the thick fog that seemed to be penetrating my life. We have so many areas of life that we look at and cannot see clearly. Looking ahead is much like moving through that blanket of fog I was driving in. The message from the Lord is the same. “Keep your eyes on me-don’t spend time trying to see through the fog—Trust me to lead you safely”. Our Lord is so faithful to lead and guide us when we seek Him. He delights in leading us. He knows where we are and He knows where we need to go. How is your focus in the fog? Are your eyes on your circumstances or on your Savior?
